November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and I’m taking action to support people facing one of the world’s deadliest cancers.

For too long, pancreatic cancer has been underfunded, understudied, and overlooked. That ends now.

Every year, more than 7,100 Canadians are diagnosed and 6,100 die from this disease. Most are diagnosed too late, when treatment options are limited. Despite decades of effort, the five-year survival rate has risen from just 1% in the 1970s to only 10% today.

That’s not good enough.

I’m raising funds to help drive research breakthroughs, improve treatments, and support patients and families living with pancreatic cancer. Together, we can make survival possible.

Please donate today and be part of the movement for Survival, Not Sympathy.

I wasn't ready to say Goodbye...

Saturday 10th Jan
Shanes life was cut short by this horrible disease. The time between diagnosis and passing was a couple of weeks. The signs are so subtle that they can mimic many other ailments often leading to delayed treatment and diagnosis. More research needs to happen, as it is becoming more common in younger people and that is why I am fundraising.  I know Shane would be proud that I am taking action to help others who are suffering. Shane left this earth at 2:22 pm January 10th 2024, 222 holds a significance for me.
Shanes light will continue to shine. "Ananta" (Sanskrit meaning for Infinity)
