In loving memory of Geoffrey Andrew Wardle

December 7, 1958 – August 19, 2025

On August 19, 2025, surrounded by love, Geoff Wardle passed peacefully from the arms of his beloved wife, Karin, into the embrace of Jesus. After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, he left this world with the same strength, dignity, and faith that defined his life.

Geoff was born in Toronto, Ontario, and spent his early years in Ontario and New Brunswick before earning his Electrical Engineering degree from UNB and later a Master’s from Carleton University. His career reflected his brilliance and work ethic, but his greatest pride was his family. He and Karin raised their three children in Calgary, Alberta, before retiring to Fernie, BC, six years ago, where they built a life filled with beauty and peace.

Our dad was a man of many passions. He had a sharp wit that could light up any room, a deep love for classic rock and playing guitar, and an unmatched talent for fly fishing- especially tying his own flies by hand. He sponsored children through World Vision for decades, living out his faith through generosity and compassion. Every vacation with Mom was a storybook of laughter and adventure, and every conversation with him was a gift of wisdom and warmth.

He was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, father, brother, and son, and a loyal friend to so many. His kindness, humour, and unwavering love will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew him.

Geoff is deeply missed by his wife, Karin, his children Ian, Janice, and Valerie, his brother, Peter, and countless friends and extended family.

Although he is no longer with us, his legacy of love and faith remains.

“Love is how often you stay alive, even after you are gone.” — Mitch Albom
