Ivan Reedman 10 Year Memorial Fundraiser
My dad was loving, loyal, goofy, and optimistic. He was dedicated to everything he did—his role as a dad, staying home with me and my sister when we were little, and waking up every day to kiss us goodbye before heading to work after that. He was a devoted husband. This holiday season, I was reminded of our tradition of going to the mall together to pick out stocking stuffers for my mom—always something pretty, something sweet, and her favorite: sunflower seeds. He was also dedicated to his country and his career in the military, spending months away from home at a time on a ship somewhere cold, only reachable by satellite phone.
He battled pancreatic cancer for two years before he passed away at 53. Those two years were painful—for him and for us. He never believed he was going to die; he was certain there was a treatment out there that could save him and perform a miracle. He probably outlived his two-month prognosis on hope alone.
Please join me in honoring my dad’s hope for better treatments for pancreatic cancer by donating to or sharing this fundraiser. Thank you.
