We're fundraising for...
Like so many families affected by this devastating disease, Marie's journey to a diagnosis was unfortunate. Her symptoms were initially misinterpreted for other underlying medical conditions, making early detection incredibly difficult. Pancreatic cancer is an insidious disease, and by the time it is discovered, it is often too late.
That is why we are coming together to participate in the Walk-Run for Survival in her honour.
Location: Erindale Park, Mississauga
Date: October 24, 2026
Start Time: 12:00 noon
We are hoping to raise funds and awareness so that continued research can help improve early detection and develop better treatments that ultimately leads to a cure. Our dream is for a future where fewer families have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love to pancreatic cancer.
We couldn’t save our Mom, but we can help keep her spirit alive. It brings us peace to know that she will not simply become another statistic. Through research, awareness, community, and the generosity of others, miracles can happen in her memory.
Our hope now is that Marie's passing can still bring people together, which always made her smile and warmed her heart. It allows us to remain connected while turning our grief into something that can bring hope to others. Marie always believed in helping others. She would have wanted us to follow her example and use this heartbreaking experience to help other people and their families facing this terrible terminal illness.
Please consider joining our team, donating if you haven’t already, sharing our story, or simply walking alongside us.
Thank you.
