I'm walking in honor of my husband George Tavares memory
my loving husband George was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in March of 2024 and passed away 5 short months later. It taught me about how little we know about this disease, the symptoms and how broken our ER and healthcare is when it comes to those suffering with it. My main reason for this walk is not only for early detection but to walk in honour of my Georges memory .
George was the most gentle, generous , funny and kind spirited man I have ever known in my life and I was blessed to have been chosen to be his wife .
I walk for his memory, his love and for all those who are still fighting 💜
